We are excited to announce the release of GoSign 3.5 with support for Scriptel Signature Pads. Scriptel has a complete line of signature capture devices that work on both Macs and PCs. With GoSign, these devices can now easily connect to any FileMaker Pro 12 or greater solution. This makes GoSign and Scriptel the perfect combination for FileMaker “point of sale” type solutions, or any other scenario where you need to capture signatures into your FileMaker solution.

FileMaker Signature Capture Just Got More Interesting
GoSign started out on iOS as an add-on to FileMaker Go when it was first released. Later we added support for people who wanted to use GoSign with FileMaker Pro running on machines with touch screen. This was especially appealing to Windows tablet users. GoSign became the FileMaker user’s choice for capturing signatures with touch screen devices.
But every once in a while, a customer would ask if GoSign could connect to dedicated signature capture devices. The question often came from Mac users, where historically support for dedicated devices had been lacking. So when Scriptel contacted us about integrating GoSign with their line of devices we jumped at the chance. We knew that FileMaker users and developers wanted a way to connect dedicated signature capture devices to their FileMaker solutions running on Macs and PCs.
Making it Happen
“When I first looked into EasyScript, one of the SDKs that Scriptel provides to its partners, I was amazed at how easy it was going to be to integrate their signature capture devices with GoSign. And in fact, it was easy. EasyScript plugged right into GoSign’s signature capture engine.”

Scriptel Corporation
Scriptel Corporation was founded in 1982 and is based in Columbus, Ohio. The company quickly became the industry leader in digitizer components and electronic signature capture. In the late 80’s, Scriptel launched the PenWriter, the first computer peripheral that provided high quality pen input on a device with its own LCD display. For the first time, this allowed users to see and use their own handwriting on their computers.
Today, Scriptel Corporation is the leader in capacitive pen digitizing technology, a very durable and cost-effective way to electronically simulate pen and paper. The company holds many patents and has deployed its technology in over 3 million solutions used around the world, mostly in the demanding retail point-of-sale environment. Virtually everyone that used a credit card at major US retailers in the past decade has used a Scriptel pen many times.
Beginning in 2010, Scriptel entered the digital workflow market with the ScripTouch ST1500, a dedicated electronic signature pad that provides high reliability with 3 year warranty, and has since launched a full line of ScripTouch signature pads that meet important market needs, backing these up with excellent service and software integration support.
