Enhanced Developer Tools and AI Integration
FMPerception, our powerful database analysis tool for FileMaker developers, has been updated to version 21.0.0 with support for FileMaker Pro 2024. This update brings also brings a host of new features and improvements to enhance developer productivity.
Notable additions include the ability to easily copy object names, support for Layout Calculations in Text Objects, and new FileMaker AI functions such as CosineSimilarity and GetEmbedding. The update also introduces a new column for Fields showing Container Storage types and expands script-related features, including support for the OnWindowTransaction trigger and improved handling of Perform Script on Server with Callback.
Improved User Experience and Visualization
CSV exports now remove question marks from column names and pre-populate file names based on selected objects. The Layout Objects list has been augmented with new columns to quickly identify text calculations and script options for buttons.
Additionally, the Call Chain Diagram has been updated to include scripts called via Perform Script on Server with Callback, providing a more comprehensive view of script interactions.
Bug Fixes and Overall Improvements
Several bug fixes have been implemented in this version, addressing issues related to missing references, special characters in object names, and script trigger analysis.
